Monumental Grace started with guard duty: standing posts on the Colorado National Monument, so somebody would be there first for the person who had decided to end it. Everybody loved the idea. Almost nobody signed up. The honest reason I kept hearing was “I’m not trained for that.”
So the post moved. Your post is the person next to you. That’s why the Guard Duty pages are now called Equipping the Saints.
Here’s what Monumental Grace looks like right now:
- Sword Sharpening is a daily practice now, not a podcast. Pick one book of the Bible and read it every day for 30 days. Get it in you.
- Swordcraft is a Logos Q&A. Send me your question on the Swordcraft page and I’ll answer it. It may go live again as it grows.
- Coffee is still coffee. Life, marriage, the Bible, whatever’s heavy. In person or over video chat.
- Edge Work is a new daily podcast I’m working on, with Bible reading and teaching. More on that soon.
Serving looks different too. It might be prayer, a phone call, a cup of coffee, accounting, a web page, or a YouTube video. If you want to help, start on the Serve page.
And yes, we have a new website. It should be easier to find what you need.
Suicide prevention is the reason. Scripture is the way.
