Building your study library in Logos
Logos partners with over 500 publishers to offer more than 120,000 Christian titles. Because Logos is a living library rather than a single book, growing your library is one of the most powerful ways to expand your knowledge, deepen your understanding, and strengthen your application of God’s Word, whether for personal growth, teaching, or faithful watchfulness.
Logos offers flexible ways to build your library:
Subscription libraries
Hundreds of books come with your subscription, depending on your tier: 250+ on the base subscription, 500+ on Pro, and 600+ on Max.
Individual books & curated collections
Intentionally expand your library with trusted commentaries, theological works, and ministry tools.
Large collections
Thousands of volumes, providing long-term depth and continuity for study and discipleship.
In short, Logos is not a single bookshelf. It is a comprehensive digital study platform and theological library, designed to grow with you as your calling, understanding, and ministry responsibilities mature.
Buying books & collections: five rules
Logos has LOTS of deals! Here’s how I make the most of them.
1Subscribe first
Subscribers get an extra 5% off most purchases, so sign up for the subscription first!
2Always use a sales rep
Get someone to help you save money. I almost never buy books or collections on my own anymore. OK, that’s not entirely true. I will if it’s a one-off, something I want right away, or the free books 😉. If I’m spending any more than that, I always use a sales rep. They know all the sales and have access to discounts I didn’t even know about.
What I do: load up my cart with the books and collections I want, apply every discount code I know about, then email “my guy” and ask him to purchase my cart with the best deals he can get. Here’s “my guy,” so he can be “your guy” too:

3Buy collections, not individual books
When you find a book you want, scroll down to the section titled “This title is included in the following collections.” Most books you’ll want are also in collections, and sometimes it’s cheaper to buy the book in a collection and get a bunch of other books free. Often a $50 book is in a $150 collection that includes $1,000 worth of other books (no, that’s not an exaggeration!). Always look at the collections. You’ll grow your library and save a ton of money.
Logos uses dynamic pricing: if you already own a book in a collection, the price drops, so you never pay for a book twice.
4Get 48 free books a year
Logos gives away free books every month and refreshes the free book mid-month, with an extra free book just for subscribers. They give these away to drive sales of other books, so the free book pages are full of deep discounts too.
5Never pay full price
Logos is constantly putting out free books, discounts, sales, and all kinds of promotions. Add books to your wishlist and you’ll usually get an email when one goes on sale. There are also deal pages, Facebook groups, and email lists where other users help you find deals.
